1. Not just that--see this!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070401/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_pelosi
"Pelosi conveying Israel message to Syria
...
The meeting took an hour, twice as long as planned, and delayed Israel's Cabinet meeting, Eisin said. Olmert and the delegation talked "extensively" about a Saudi peace plan, dormant since 2002 and relaunched last week at an Arab League summit."

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Arab League summit referred to was the same one that Condi walked away from with...zip!

Little Boots and the Wormtongue are working on their new comedy and rap act.

Well done, Nancy. She'd make a wonderful president.

3. No, it's not a coincidence.
I was fuming over Pelosi's speech to the Knesset the other day, because it painted such a fairy tale picture of Israel, and didn't seem to contain any suggestions for Mideast peace or Israeli justice toward the Palestinians. I didn't expect her to lecture Israelis. That wouldn't have been appropriate. She was their guest. But I was not encouraged by what she said (re Mideast peace).

Now I take it all back. I think she may have been lavishing affection on Israel as reassurance to a tired, war-weary people, and one whose position in the Mideast has been greatly worsened by the Bush Junta. Meanwhile.....

...talks with Syria. UK captives release. Visit to Arab mosque and marketplace. Finding common ground. Wow. Go, Nancy!

4. Nancy Pelosi is a stunning Speaker of the House.
What a gracious example of America to foreign dignitaries.

You know, I keep seeing a Jackie Kennedy comparison here. Jackie was loved by people from other countries, now Nancy may follow in her footsteps.

"Oh, just disregard the strange, evil little man in the White House. He is on the way out, the American people are finally waking up to what's been going on, and they aren't happy. Bush doesn't represent America's values..." GO NANCY!!

5. Even if it isn't Ms. Speakers "fault"
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 11:07 AM by DCKit
There goes the easy excuse for war. You know "some people" are having FITS.

I say "some people" not THE people, 'cause that wouldn't be accurate.

She'd better get out of there quick before peace breaks out all over.

Forgot to mention, I've just been wondering if she'll be viewed by the Amurikan peoples as "guilty by association." Then again, the Iranians (who aren't exactly stupid) may have done it while she was there to embarrass Chimpco.

Either way, no matter what, it's win-win for the people.

9. I doubt it was an accident they did it while she was there.
I doubt it she knew anything about it, either. Persians have been playing a politics a long time.

15. her first trip and she's done more than Rice did in years
if Pelosi simply hadn't done anything to screw up it would have been better than the joke of a State Department we have now.
