I didn't see any Federal Marshals at any women's health clinics today.

Federal Marshals being called out to protect women's clinics is a pretty big story and I was hoping to get some pictures of the U.S. Marshals guarding these facilities to sell to the paper or online, thought it would make a rather poignant photograph. I went by the two that are located near here and I didn't see a single Federal Marshal, local law enforcement or any sort of security personnel whatsoever.

This is kind of bizarre though, one of the clinics is located right next to a "Toys R Us", this juxtaposition is an unfortunate real estate choice for the clinic, however, a portion of the wood fence separating the toy store had been ripped down and a large "Toys R Us" truck was parked there so that in giant letters you cans see the word "KIDS". I thought it was too ironic to be coincidental or maybe my tinfoil is on too tight.

1. They're only going to "certain abortion clinics and doctors."

Acting on orders from Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., who said the Obama administration will take "appropriate steps to help prevent any related acts of violence from occurring," the U.S. Marshals Service announced that it will begin protecting certain abortion clinics and doctors.

One group likely to receive protection is Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, or PPMNS, which provides abortions and reproductive health services in the three states. In South Dakota, where no doctor is willing to perform elective abortions, Planned Parenthood flies in a doctor once a week from Minneapolis.

"In the wake of the tragic murder of Dr. George Tiller, PPMNS has accepted an offer to supplement our present security with support from the U.S. Marshals Service," said Sarah Stoesz, president of PPMNS. "It is critically important that we ensure the safety of our doctors, staff and patients."

The people with the 10 foot posters of aborted fetuses. I drove by them once and they are a very insane crowd.

...actually perform abortions?

Don't get me wrong, I would like federal protection for all Family Planning/Women's Health facilities because the forced-birth movement assumes that all of them provide abortion services.

....as for the Toys R US thingy...MOST of these clinics offer all sorts of reproductive care as well as the option of abortion.

Another note...it is sort of logistically impossible to mobilize a group of security to over 1000 locations within 24 hours...

You know, I just don't believe that. I have *COMPLETE CONFIDENCE*
that our government has long since had prepared all sorts of contingency
plans for civil uprisings and could, if they wished, have a measly 1,000
Federal Marshals on site within six hours if they really wished.
