US 'prepared' for N Korea missile

The US is "in a good position" to protect its territory from a potential North Korean missile strike, US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said.

His comments came in response to a report that North Korea was considering launching a missile towards Hawaii.

"We do have some concerns if they were to launch a missile to the West, in the direction of Hawaii," Mr Gates said.

2. Well, will NK consider it "provocation" is the US shoots it down?
NK can rant about "being provoked" all they want, but when you're belligerent and launching missiles all over the place, other people might - just might - deem that provocative too...

3. Now really that guy in Korea is crazy as hell
Edited on Sat Jun-20-09 10:05 AM by doc03
but would he be crazy enough to hit any US territory with a missile or a nuke. I don't understand why the US don't just tell the crazy SOB if you use a one nuke or sell one nuke to someone else we will vaporise your POS country. Just tell him if you attack South Korea or any other of our allies we will vaporize your POS country. Better yet just take out his missile and nuclear facilities now. This is ridiculous the UN has a resolution that forbids Korea from selling arms to other countries but we can't board the ship without their permission! If we vaporized N.Korea what would happen maybe the UN would say that wasn't nice you shouldn't have done that. We don't have the troops or money to get involved in another ground war and the crazy SOB knows it and is trying to take advantage of it. Just tell him like it is shut the fuck up or else.
