Kudos to CNN for their Iran Coverage ! Uh, MSNBC... not so much.
CNN is making a concerted effort today to have computers scanning You Tube, i Reports, Facebook, Twitter.. and broadcasting every single thing they can to the world. It isn't a hard thing to do.. I've done the same thing via my Facebook and Twitter pages. But the point is, they are broadcasting a true World Event that is happening now.

MSNBC... it's DOCUDRAMA DAY again !! Unbelievable. I guess they'll wait until Monday morning and let Morning Ho tell us what happened over this historical weekend in Iran.

At any rate, kudos to CNN for a fantastic effort.

4. The online broadcast is even better
I watched CNN on TV earlier today, but now am watching the online stream, which is not the same, and is better:

5. MSNBC is basically worthless on the weekends
It's all those stupid true crime shows - wallpaper, and not even attractive wallpaper at that.

What's the point of a news channel when they won't even cover important stories as they happen?

6. They've done a pretty good job, though we can get the information
almost as easily as they can. And there are some things they can't/won't broadcast. But overall, yes, it was a good job.

12. Yes.. I'm getting constant streams via FB, Twitter, etc., but for people who don't
know how to connect in the social networks, I think they're doing a commendable job in comparison. It's not the BBC, but hey... :-) :hi:

15. A lot of 'we' don't really know how to
I can get most of what CNN's covering with ease, but if they're doing so it's probably going to help the type of people who want to follow what's going on but also prefix "Google" with "the."

by rhetoric and ommission.

As much as it is horrifying, they should show this (***WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC VIDEO OF YOUNG WOMAN DYING IN STREET):

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=bbdEf0QRsLM (UPDATE: ETA that they just showed this video but had to pixelate it due to its graphic nature)

9. I am watching on CNN. It is good work
I just do not think we can help. Bush did us in on that. Not that our own history with the country helps any. When you do wrong in the first place it all comes back to kick you.

11. Yeah, it's been good. A lot of unknowns and speculation, yet they're broadcasting what they get.
What I've appreciated most is the background that has been provided. Many if us in the US have such a narrow focus on Iran, due mainly to lack of context, that we don't form a "big picture". I heard some comments today about how these events differ from past public demonstrations, in Iranian terms, and comment about the role the internet and cell phones are playing.

14. So, who's the big Satan now, 'eh Iran?
30 years of blaming America when it was in fact IRAN who took the hostages. All of Iran's problems begin and end with their religulous leaders.
