Has anyone had trouble with the DU site lately?
The last couple days after being on DU for a few minutes a virus or something takes over my computer and it goes wacko. Whatever it is stops me from closing my browser or even shutting off my computer, I even disconnected from the net. The only way I was able to stop it was with the power switch. This morning for the third day straight the same thing happened, this time I shut off my modem as soon as it started and I got it stopped. This has only happened while on DU, I have run my virus program and no problems are detected.

3. The only trouble I have noticed is a large uptick in the number of trolls lately....
...no issues with the site itself, though.

4. I had trouble, with no virus. I kept getting pop-up windows for ads.
I started looking and noticed firefox or something had load a tool called something like Interoptions. It kept loading ads. I uninstalled and took out a lot of cookies, and it stopped.

I must have restarted my computer about 5 times. At one time, it was loading 48 windows that were blank. And it only happened on DU.

7. That sounds like the same problem,
web addresses start popping up one after the other and I have no control of anything. I was alright this morning, I shut my modem off as soon as it started and was able to close the browser. I haven't had any trouble anywhere but DU, it started Wednesday I think..

9. Go to your tool bar and see if there is another option above the "Options."
Uninstall it. I think it was called Interoptions. Reboot, and run a spyware program. Isolate or delete all the cookies it turns up. I had to manually delete some "context" cookies.

6. Sounds like your computer is infected with spyware or viruses
Do you run and update a decent virus program?

I use:

AVG Free
http://free.avg.com/

and for spyware:

Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html

Spyware Blaster
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

and to keep things clean:

http://www.ccleaner.com/

8. I have AVG and it updates and scans the computer every Friday
and hasn't detected any virus. I ran a scan last night and no virus.
