How did our top 2 senate health care negotiators wind up being red state dems?
Both Baucus and Conrad are from states where their chances at re-election are probably hanging by a thread anyway. Why don't we put some dems with less to lose in these positions of power?

at home in powerful national positions. Whether it's Reid, Daschelle, etc, etc. It happens so often I could believe it's done by design to purposely limit progressive legislation.
