Variations of: "Veterans deserve the best health-care."

My question (which used to be reserved for right-wingers but now must be asked of President Obama): "Who in this society doesn't?"

3. Yes, I agree. Without each of us healthy and reasonably wealthy
everything goes to crap, as evidenced by our current dilemmas.

4. Politics...
The time honored tradition of paying lip service to honor our war Veterans.

All the while ignoring a lot of their real needs.

16. Obama increased the VA budget by more than in 30 years,
That's not lip service, jackass.

5. I see your point...
...though, considering what we've asked of veterans, I'm hard-pressed to argue that they don't somehow deserve even more.

If the point of the statement is "don't screw up vets' health care," I'd agree.

8. Yes, we asked a lot of them. But did they really go and fight to keep us safe
just until lack of medical care brings us down? Some of them may want that, but I am sure many other vets don't because they care about the citizens they worked so hard to protect.

9. Yeah. The oath I took specified enemies "foreign and domestic."
But I understand that the troops are a little busy now, defending our far, far eastern borders from something or other.

20. You should be hard-pressed to argue that they deserve more.
Why?

23. I meant that they do indeed deserve more...
...if deserving has anything to do with the quality of health care a citizen should receive.

10. The difference is that the R/W says "veterans deserve better health care."
To answer your question, President Obama feels we ALL deserve "the best health care" thus his battle for change.

22. Slogans do not equal policies.
“Now, the man on the stand he wants my vote,
He's a-runnin' for office on the ballot note.
He's out there preachin' in front of the steeple,
Tellin' me he loves all kinds-a people.
(He's eatin' bagels
He's eatin' pizza
He's eatin' chitlins
He's eatin' bullshit!)”
