Jenny Sanford's friends on 'Early Show' Monday morning
Two of S.C. First Lady Jenny Sanford's best friends are being interviewed this morning on the "CBS Early Show" about her estranged husband's affair and its fallout.

WLTX reported on its Web site Sunday that Virginia Lake and Marjory Wentworth - a former S.C. poet laureate who came to Jenny Sanford's defense in an article published last week in Vogue - are scheduled to be on the news show.

Jenny Sanford moved out of the governor's mansion on Aug. 7, six weeks after her husband, Mark Sanford, admitted to a year-long affair with an Argentine woman. Several of the first lady's friends were photographed helping with the move.

Well Jenny is certainly using the Slap Chop on him. Forget politics. The entire state of SC is now the setting for the Jenny and Mark reality show.

I detest Sanford, but I wish he would stop apologizing, and she would stop saying she has to protect their 4 sons.

I now think that the Sanford boys and Palin's children should all run away and join the circus. They need a stable environment.

If this is C-Street vs Broad, my money is on Broad!

1. I agree about the circus, best place for them now
because it would be a lot nicer than their publicly battling parents, neither of whom can shut up long enough to listen to what the kids are going through.

It's bad enough when the ordinary marriage breaks down and the spouses are slugging it out through their lawyers. Add cameras and microphones, and it's got to be intolerable.

Those kids are probably going to start acting out before anybody notices they're not just four walking footballs.

2. Hell hath no fury like a rich woman scored
by a pompous self-serving hypocritical politician parading as a 'FAMILY VALUES' saint.

Maybe the kids will break out of the Republican bullshit.
Meanwhile

3. This like watching the Jerry Springer show
if Martha Stewart was the director.

6. Here's the entire interview

<snip>
South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford is back in the news: it turns out having an affair is not the only problem he's dealing with: an investigation by the Associated Press finds he failed to report 35 trips on private planes as required by state law.

The AP found that Sanford, who took office in 2003, had not disclosed on state ethics forms or campaign reports who had paid for the travel, as required by state law. Sanford was been trying to regroup after admitting to a year-long affair with an Argentinean woman.
