9. Better Be Prepared To Boycott The NFL & The Simpsons
Murdoch said it years ago...while he's out to make money with his "news" channel, if he can't get advertisers he has other ways to fund it. He has the "regular" faux network that makes billions with football, 24, the Simpsons...as well their FX cable channel. Oh, and don't forget to give up Dish TV and stop using YouTube and MySpace. And I haven't even gotten into the newspapers and magazines he owns.

It's always great to talk boycott, but so few of them are ever effective. While I strongly salute and endorse the boycotting of Shtick Dreck, it'd take a lot more to bring down the Murdoch empire. As we're seeing already, Dreck's lost a lot of sponsors and he's still spewing his manure.

Ridiculing Faux has done more than any boycott. Most people think its a joke and don't watch it. If you're looking to have a boycott with some teeth in it, organize against the many hate radio stations out there that were responsible for spreading more lies than faux can even keep up with these days.

12. I understand what you mean.....
I have gone to great lengths to avoid the Faux corp. including giving up things like The Simpsons and The NFL. Not for any organized effort, but just to alleviate my own conscience. But thats not going to stop the Faux Propaganda machine, and neither will a massive liberal boycott of its programs and services. They will still get there advertising revenue because of all the loud-mouthed thumbless pricks who think 24 is reality T.V. BUT......What if Our liberal ELECTED OFFICIALS decided no to no longer appear on it? We do currently have the majority in both the House and Senate, not to mention the White House! What if all Democrats holding and/or running for office refused to be interviewed by that unfair & unbalanced news(?) organization? what if they were banned from the wight house press pool? Our Senators and Congress people have the right to talk and not talk to whom ever they like. and if they chose to publicly and privately spurn all faux reporters and pundents, would it really hurt there base? How many Democrats actually watch faux news? do you think that many would even notice? But I tell you who would notice. The ad execs. and with a complete shut out of the controlling party, do you really believe they will keep buying air time on a publicly defunct network?

We as a nelson family have done about all we can. What we need to do now is urge our elected party members to walk away from this right wing-nut propaganda machine once and for all, and let it make a loud thud when hits the cutting room floor.

The Days of Bush are over. Time to shut them out for good

15. Faux is the problem
Edited on Tue Aug-25-09 11:57 AM by mustardman
Murdoch is a businessman who's whole purpose in life is to make money. If Faux is costing him billions he will look at ways to fix that. Saying he doesn't care if it makes money is horseshit. That is like saying a crack head doesn't care if they can't find more crack.

16. But He Is Making Money
His print operations are costing him far more than his teevee operations...and my bets are faux noise is making him plenty of money. Ratings talk and with his piece of trash doubling the audience of the competitors means advertisers are gonna buy. Yes, he's a businessman...a shrewd one...who knows that the controversy around that network is golden.

10. They should be shut down
After all, many of their programs openly incite to riot, advocate the overthrow of the US govt., and spew racial hatred. If that's not grounds for pulling their broadcasting license, I don't know what is.

13. www.glenn-beck-sucks.com

We can try, I have a sponsor list for Glenn Beck at my website, and if you write to their advertisers to tell them you will not buy their products if they advertise on Beck or FOX News it might get them to stop.
