Conservatives Warning Against Politicizing Kennedy's Death, Did Just That For Reagan
Conservatives accusing Democrats of trying to reap political advantage from the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) are conveniently ignoring the politicization of former president Ronald Reagan's death by Republican more than four year's earlier.

Just two days after Kennedy lost his yearlong struggle with brain cancer, conservative media personalities are already decrying Democrats for using his death to jumpstart health care reform's passage.

The main criticisms have come from the likes of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, who have warned of another "Wellstone effect" -- a reference to the partisan fracas that followed former Sen. Paul Wellstone's highly political memorial service in 2002, after his death in a plane crash.

3. It makes no sense. Why would a Dem ever take orders from Rush et al....
...if they want to be reelected?

Rush saying, "don't Wellstone Teddy", is basically giving the green light to do just that.

This preemptive criticism doesn't work.

2. Shame on them! "Wellstone Effect" is an insult to this good man. They, the demented
conservative media machine has trashed everyONE who has been a progressive voice for The American People.

Have they no shame?

5. Conservatives? Hypocrites? Nah......
Conservatives would NEVER say one thing and do another. I mean right now they are trying to scare the crap out of senior citizens by saying the big nasty Obama administration is going to cut some money out out of Medicare, one of the largest government programs we have. I mean they must REALLY love that government run health care to defend it SOO much. I'm sure the conservative Icon (and super celebrity) Ronald Reagan would never have said things like "Medicare will lead us down a path of socialism and we will look back and wonder what happened to our freedoms" (paraphrase). Yep, gotta love those oh so consistent conservative values.....
