But the bell curve of human experience is much too broad to suggest that they're unfit parents. Sure I'd prefer they followed a fact-based program to raise their children, but look around the world -- that just doesn't happen. 80+% of Americans believe in a hairy thunderer in the skies who decides their fate. Elsewhere around the world are equally fanciful beliefs, many of them downright wicked.

What progressives need to do is to make sure that the truth is out there, so that as people mature they have a chance to engage in reality-based worldviews and escape the fairy tales of their youth.
