DU'ers, let's crank the volume up to eleven on public option!!!

I feel like public option is slipping out of sight for us, good people. I haven't decided whether the administration has already thrown us under the bus, or whether they are tossing out trial balloons. One thing I do know, and that is "The squeaky wheel get's the grease." For those youngsters not familiar with that tried and true colloquialism, it means that, whoever yells the loudest and the longest usually gets served what they want.

You can use any sports metaphor you like, but it's the 4th quarter, we're behind with less than two minutes to go, no time outs and 60 yards to go to win the game.

It's time to make as many calls as you can, if you haven't done so already. Make as much noise as you can!

I believe that this is our defining moment. If we don't win this issue, we are truly irrelevant.

Peace,

Joe

1. "Now" is here,
upon us. If we do not take advantage of the opportunity to "make noise" now, this opportunity will slip away, and be lost forever.

3. I truly believe so. I get a chill and a feeling like I will never see another
opportunity like this in my lifetime.

5. I'm with you on that, but I won't settle for less than a public option.

6. The thing is, if we volumize what we'll "settle for," then even that will fade away.

10. It may not be, but one should never negotiate as an individual or a group,
from the position of where one would acceptably end at; its just not good negotiating position. And the fact that they are clear they aren't negotiating, it's just plain stupid to even have it on the table right now. Medicare for all, make them be the one's that are feeling lucky with a public option end result.
