I noticed something interesting among the certifications from OVP's document discovery the other day. Two people amended their certifications to note that they hadn't done a search for any emails responsive to the subpoenas. Instead, they were trusting that the central search would cover their compliance with the subpoena.

The two people? Scooter Libby, who has already been convicted of lying to obstruct justice. And his then-personal assistant, Jenny Mayfield. How prescient of Mayfield, really, to note on her October 7 document request

4. Over there, they're calling it DogAteGate. (Dog ate my homework-gate)

Servergate sounds almost nice. ("May I serve your food now, sir?") With the thousands of pages of duplicative documents, and redacted documents, that the WH has dumped on Congress, I was thinking that "Inun-gate" might be appropriate. (Inundate.)

Anyway, they've got some good reads over there--and they have some folks who are really good at what they call "going off in the weeds" (digging through the minutia to find the "smoking emails"). Brilliant folks, folks with heads full of facts and timeliness, who can also communicate the gist of things to others. Following their on-going investigations is wonderfully entertaining, as well as revolutionary. If it were not for the Firedoglake bloggers, the Libby trial would have taken place in almost complete obscurity. Now they (and others, with links provided) are actively assisting Congressional investigators in plowing through the Rovian weeds. Pdfs from Gonzo get almost instantly posted and turned into searchable files. It's amazing what they're doing. Go have a look.
