GOP Senators Pull Out of Inquiry Into CIA Program

26 September 2009

Republicans on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence said Friday that they will no longer participate in an investigation into the Bush administration's interrogation policies, arguing that Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.'s decision to reexamine allegations of detainee abuse/ prisoner torture by the CIA would hobble any inquiry. The intelligence committee launched a review in March of CIA interrogations of 'high-value' detainees.

2. law??? what law...
After the K-Street gang proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that Republicans can do ANYTHING with either minimal or no prosecution by the courts, there is no "law" in this land.

Do you remember Foley, the guy who was in charge of protecting young House pages? He protected underage boys right into his bedroom and absolutely no criminal prosecution followed his detestable actions.

4. In my opinion...
Yes... let me add that I have no legal training or knowledge of rule of law. Hey, with this statement, I'm qualified to become a Republican and get away with all kinds of crime!

5. Good, we agree.
Now this must also mean they can be hauled in to testify before the committee as to their part in hiding the crimes.

These freakin pubs are pissing me off with their obstructionism.

7. How will they be able to protect the Bush admin if they aren't there
to ask stupid questions and to derail the investigation?

Guess the truth was becoming too painful, that's often the case.
