The husband of Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) died while on a hiking trip in Tibet on Friday, New York 1 reports.

Clifton Maloney, 71, formerly worked as a vice president at Goldman Sachs then worked at a private investment firm.

8. I'm very sorry for his family. I'm sure this must be a shock.
He sounds like he was a very vibrant man, hiking in Tibet at 71.

9. Sad, but if I had a choice,
I'd rather die hiking in Tibet, instead of wasting away in some hospital.
