And then there were huh?
Comments posted to local paper's article about Obama's visit to Denmark (listed in reverse order as they appear in the online edition)

"That said, he's not wasting any time on the idiotic birth certificate garbage." - Actually, he is devoting time and taxpayer resources to prevent his original birth records from being released. In the most notable case to date, he sent two Justice Dept. lawyers to fight against transparency in a California court.

"And he hasn't been spotted clearing any brush or pawing any foreign heads of state" - Are you honestly criticizing former President Bush for clearing brush on his ranch? And how do you classify Obama BOWING to the Saudi King?

"Convenient memory lapses are becoming epidemic." - Agreed.

"We have a POTUS who is doing much to restore our international respect." - Kissing up to Communist countries doesn't earn their respect...it's a sign of weakness, which undoubtedly will be duly noted.

"Do we need to mention that bringing the games to the US will bring cash INTO the country for a change?" - How convenient of you to view half of the equation(revenue), and ignore the other half of the equation(debt).

"The president is more than capable of multi-tasking." - On that, we agree. He can release terrorists, run up trillions in debt, reward his special-interest political allies with taxpayer money and call it "stimulus", push an unpopular healthcare reform plan, and seize numerous private industries...all at the same time. Now...if Obama could just formulate an Afghanistan strategy instead of waffling while our troops die in record numbers...

The last formal declaration of war by the United States was WW ll.
In World War II, the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor on the previous day, Hitler and Mussolini declared war on America and the U.S, Congress responded in kind.

The last Military engagements authorized by Congress:
2001 war in Afghanistan, also known as Operation Enduring Freedom, ongoing
Iraq War, also known as Operation Iraqi Freedom, ongoing.

We are presently not at war.

"This president is more than capable of multi-tasking."
Obviously, he's all over the place.
Is he afraid of delegating authority for anything?

As for bring Cash into the country, I thought it cost huge amounts of money to build and support the games.
But I'm sure he will use some of the unspent 'Stimulus' money as its not doing anyone any good.

Finally, if your premiss is even correct: it is considered 'treasonous' to speak ill of the president 'during a time of war', How'd you get to vote?

Oh for stupid sake, people. We have a POTUS who is doing much to restore our international respect. Do we need to mention that bringing the games to the US will bring cash INTO the country for a change? This president is more than capable of multi-tasking. That said, he's not wasting any time on the idiotic birth certificate garbage. And he hasn't been spotted clearing any brush or pawing any foreign heads of state, so clearly he's going out of his way to upset the delicate political sensibilities of those who insist on whining about the outcome of the last election. Less than a year ago it was still considered treasonous to speak ill of the president 'during a time of war'. Convenient memory lapses are becoming epidemic.
