The Mathematics of Corruption
In case you were looking for a good, succinct mathematical example of what corruption really looks like, consider this:
- The latest poll shows two-thirds of Americans back a robust public option.

- Two-thirds of the Senate Finance Committee just voted down a robust public option.

I'd say that just about sums it up: On issues of economic and corporate power, you can basically take the majority percentage of public support for a given measure and expect to get that many Senate votes against it.

Simplistic but it does sum it up.

1. Baucus (R-Wellpoint) repeatedly stated that he will vote down
any amendment that he doesn't think can get 60 votes.

His approach makes me wish for the true nuclear option -- killing the bill rather than letting it pass half-assed like he wants to do.

3. Who annointed him King of the health care bill?
Who made him the official vote counter? I assume the passing of a public option is totally in his hands? What am I missing here? Apparently he is one Big Blue Dog and he speaks for them all.

2. Time to start cleaning house
Both sides of the isle are taking huge amounts of money from big corporations. Those who take the money and the vote like we just saw on the health care bill, need to be voted out of congress no matter what party they are in! Something has to be done to get all the money out of congress so we can get people to vote for what is the best for the people of this country, and not the big money that has bought and paid for the majority of congress!
