We are in this fix because...

...government regulation of capitalism has been severely weakened over the years.
Anti-trust laws are a joke and U.S. trade policies that have destroyed tariffs only protect multinational corporate interests to the detriment of the American worker.

The gradual breakdown of financial regulations over the years have led us to the brink of a second Great Depression.

The wealthy corporate interests that run our country have convinced the American people, too a large degree, that "government" is something separate from them. That there is no need to get involved except to try and tear it down and weaken it. This sentiment was amped up by Ronald Reagan and we suffer under it today.

Wake up, get involved, go after who is really destroying America: Wealthy corporate interests that buy off our Legislators to get the laws tilted in their favor.

1. That pretty well sums it up.
Now, when are we going to march on Washington and stay there until we get what we need?

One day of protest ain't going to cut it. We need to live in DC for a month. A rotating group of 50,000 people for a month might finally get some news coverage. Just like Cindy Sheehan did outside the Crawford Texas.

So, how do we organize it?????

2. That is exactly right. Nothing is going to change until we get
campaign finance reform and take big business out of the equation.

Until we do, our democracy is a sham. Our elected officials don't give a damn about the people -- all they care about is raising money so they can get re-elected.
