Poll question: Does Obama need a high profile prosecution of Goldman Sachs to prove he's not in their backpocket?
Yet another story of Goldman Sachs picking taxpayers' pockets.

Goldman Sachs stands to receive a payment of $1bn – while US taxpayers would lose $2.3bn – if embattled commercial lender CIT files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, people familiar with the matter said.

My question is simple: almost as much as the outcome of the health care debate, how Obama treats the sociopaths on Wall Street will determine whether we can trust him to fight for us or whether he is wholly-owned by the wealthy.

Would a high profile investigation, prosecution, and preferably conviction of Goldman Sachs top execs prove he is not in the back pocket of the firm that has supplied so many of dubious economic advisors?

2. There is no way
they would have allowed him to become President if they felt he might be inclined to bring them down.

3. Anybody who has ever worked for Goldmine Sucks should be automatically barred from public office
ANY office - elected or appointed. And that's only one of the criminal organizations that needs to be purged from our government.

4. Obama needs a clear, fairly unambiguous win on health care to get the wind behind his back
to do much more.

7. They need to prosecute SOMEBODY!
WTF is Holder's Justice Department doing, anyway. Some of the worst crimes for 8 years in this country's history, and nada as far as even investigations goes.

8. there's investigations going on, they just haven't announced any prosecutions
I just hope it's not like John Kerry and election protection in 2004. He assured everyone that he had lawyers stationed all of the country to watch for any vote rigging and voter suppression. They watched, but that's all they did.
