4. Not any time soon.
The tea bagger types are the tail wagging the Republican dog right now, and that does not impress the independents. They are in a cycle they can't get out of unless the Dems really screw it up.

2. After Obama is re-elected, and is a 'lame duck',
they might actually try and work with us on a few things instead of focusing 24/7 on how to beat him in the next election.

3. Seems like they are being run by the pundits these days.
Them and the shadowy dipshits like Dick Armey as all their front man have been destroyed by their own doing.

I'd say slim to none...but we don't seem to be doing a very good job of much of anything ourselves.

8. I actually see some half hearted attempts here and there
I watched David From on Bill Moyers Journal and he was adamant about dumping Limbaugh and Beck and the like and trying to regain some sanity in his Party. I also saw Lindsey Graham say he didn't like Beck and thought Republicans needed to change direction.

9. Even Joe Scarborough couldn't mount a defense for the repubs' behavior this morning.
He tried the "both sides do it" argument for a bit and then lost his will to go on.
