SNL "Weekend Update" to Michael Steele
who wondered what Obama has accomplished to merit the Nobel Prize:

Were it not for Obama you would not have had your current job.

(I am paraphrasing..)

6. seven days isn't that long
I still watch it, usually, for reasons unknown. But it has sucked for a long time.

8. Right. I stopped watching it for... 30 years
ever since Chevy Chase, Jane Curtain and the rest left.

But last year was a good one. Perhaps a long writers strike is what they needed and a Sarah Palin and... media groveling over Obama and snubbing Hillary.

I wish they had a skit about how the same media that anointed candidate Obama is now bending backwards to "show" that is "balanced' which borders on the absurd.

I turned it for the open skit, and last week turned it off, did not even chuckle. But... I was reading TIME and the dailies so kinda left it in the background, and turned it off after that "Weekend Update."

I am probably getting too old for this. I don't find that "Tilly! Tilly!" funny, nor do I find the Italian host funny - both are recurring characters.

Last year I liked the Halloween one, even posted on DU that it was for grown ups, and someone responded that their Halloween programs usually are good, so will wait for that.
