Yesterday's Health Care Rally

It was pouring down rain and cold in Tacoma, Washington yesterday, yet 64 people showed up in the middle of the day to thank Senator Maria Cantwell for voting and fighting for the public option and urge her to keep fightin g for that. We held an outdoor rally in front of her office in the pouring down rain, enriched by touching stories of the personal lives of folks who have suffered under this country's health care system. Afterwards about 35 of us went to her office to speak with her aid. In the mix of the group assembled were represntatives of at least 14 different religious, political, labor, education, retired military and health care organizations. We need to be doing this much more often! Thank you to everybody who took the time out of your busy day and was willing to get soaked and have your voice be heard!!!!
