A small sampling of the work of Minnesota's most talented pumpkin carver and peace activist
Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 08:22 PM by Bjorn Against
My friend and fellow peace activist Bill Habedank is a master pumpkin carver who puts on a display of over one hundred elaborately carved pumpkins during the week of Halloween every year. I am driving out there to see the full display tomorrow, but here is a small sampling of this year's carvings.

For those in the Minnesota area Bill's display will be up through Nov 3rd and is located at 1913 Grandview Ave in Red Wing, MN. There is no charge for admission, although donations for the local food shelf are encouraged.

On edit: Here are some additional pictures of his carvings:

4. Yes, Bill is amazing and he takes great pride in his work
Bill spends all year looking forward to Halloween and then when it comes he works so hard to carve over pumpkins in a weeks time. I don't know how he is able to carve that many pumpkins with so much detail, but he certainly has reason to be proud of his display because I am sure it is one of the best displays in the nation.

6. It takes him a week to carve about 120 pumpkins
He is working many hours during that week of course, and he does have several volunteers to scoop out the insides of the pumpkin and prep it for him so he is able to just carve and not have to worry about the grunt work.
