The Supreme Court is expected to announce a decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, that would for the first time since 1907 remove the barrier to all corporate financing of political campaigns. This extreme act of judicial activism is likely the final giant step in turning the U.S. from a representative democracy to government by the corporations for the corporations, aka fascism.

Please speak out against this trainwreck in the making for our country on Monday, before its expected announcement, and encourage your colleagues to do likewise. Perhaps one or more of the Justices in the majority will be moved to reconsider.

1. Money is speech

No one should not be allowed to "talk" to their Representatives nor should any business. However it has been ruled that a limit on that "talk" could be imposed. Now the question is, should any limits be imposed if a person or business wants to "talk" to others for their Representative. It has already been ruled they can "talk" to others about any issue, just not a candidate. Will money win out??????? This is America, should there be any doubt?

2. A business is not a person.

When you allow every individual to express themselves politically, what constructive purpose is served by letting a spokesperson for a consolidation of the financial interests of a group of people, that is limited by law to advocating only what will benefit the group financially no matter what the personal beliefs of its members, engage in the political process, especially by using their united wealth?

Corporations already have so much influence on our gov't that people think this won't matter. That assumption is dangerously wrong.
