Nude Photos Left On Camera Lead To Lawsuit
BELTON, Mo. -- A Belton mother was shocked when she saw nude pictures on a camera her daughter had just bought at Walmart.

"I felt like I had bought pornography and gave it to my daughter," said the woman, who asked not to be identified.

The woman said she bought the camera three years ago at the Walmart store, at 133rd Street and State Line Road. She said the little red camera was a gift for her 13-year-old daughter for Christmas.

"We were just flipping through the camera and saw nasty pictures," she said.

On the camera's internal memory were four pictures of a nude woman in various poses.

1. Oooooh, nasty!
I'm guessing that the 13-year-old girl has seen a naked woman before. But it took her three years before she figured it out? Hmmm.

5. Sounds to me like it was the mother who has never seen a naked woman before
I'm guessing the child was conceived in a room with all the lights out.

2. If that happened when I was 13, my parents would delete them and it would be a funny family story.

That lady needs to get a grip.

EDIT: Talk about a frivolous lawsuit. I'm no fan of Mall Wart (Your Source of Cheap Chinese Crap), but she should lose and have to pay fees and court costs.

9. Either the reporter can't write for shit or there's something wrong with this story
BELTON, Mo. -- A Belton mother was shocked when she saw nude pictures on a camera her daughter had just bought at Walmart.

The woman said she bought the camera three years ago at the Walmart store, at 133rd Street and State Line Road. She said the little red camera was a gift for her 13-year-old daughter for Christmas.

*************

Did the daughter buy it or the mother?

Was it "just bought" or purchased three years ago?

When did Christmas come in late October? Did the woman give it to her daughter now, two months before Christmas, or had she done so three years ago?

How would a "police officer friend" determine that the pictures were already on the camera?

Why hire an attorney?

I hate loathe and despise Wal-Mart, and I've worked their customer service desk processing returns so I'm quite sure they could very easily have accepted the return of a camera with porn on it, but this story still stinks to high heaven the way it's written. Under the stink I smell the aroma of someone finagling a lawsuit.

11. She filed a lawsuit and it is just now going to trial
In the article she said she didn't return it because she figured they would just put it back on the shelf and resell it. So she is suing instead.

I smell a scam, and call bullshit.

21. Given the amount of tough, clamshell plastic packaging that cameras and other stuff comes in
I find this story really, really fishy. I seriously doubt that Wal Mart, as much as I hate them, is responsible for this. Either this happened at the factory level or after the camera was opened.

Took pictures of my balls on it and gave it back to them. It was at a 18+ venue concert, so it wasn't a child's phone.
