One Peaceful World is Michio Kushi's vision for creating peace through healthy lifestylesalthy l
I just came upon this video. I learned to be a macrobiotic cook under Michio and his teachers at the Kushi Institute. What I like about this video is that it focuses on his determination to create world peace and points out his understanding about how food affects us so dramatically. Macros are considered whackos and some of them take Michio's advice to the point of rigidity, but his philosophy is beautiful to hear. He got stomach cancer a few years ago after the stress of losing a wife, a daughter and traveling too much. He followed his own advice and is now well. He does good for a guy approaching his mid 80's.

1. I've been to the Kushi institiute
have a friend who has worked there for many years, a lovely place. The philosophy behind Macrobiotics is quite enlightened, IMO.
Despite what many think, it's not about seaweed and Japanese food.
Macrobiotic diets have also been recognized as effective against some cancer.
