2. He should check out Charles Shultz' religious views.

A big hint is his satire on holier-than-thou religiosity, the Great Pumpkin. Linus even goes doorknocking to spread the good news about the Great Pumpkin.

One summer, the Peanuts gang went to a Bible camp, and one counselor was breathing fire and brimstone. A wiser Linus flattened him:

"Has it ever occurred to you that you might be wrong?"

Which is also the title of a theology book Snoopy was writing one day.

There's a nice little book called the Gospel According To Peanuts out there, but I prefer a little collection of Peanuts comics, no other commentary, called "And The Beagles and The Bunnies Shall Lie Down Together: The Theology in Peanuts." Sadly, I found it in a remainder box. But it's probably in some library collection or another.
