ABC Nightly news hit piece on Dems and lobbyists
did anyone else see this? Pointing out the power Dems have now (Pelosi, Rangel, Baucus) with lobbyists paying to party w/ them, after promising to end the culture of corruption of the Repugs ...

showed Darryl Issa at a Who concert that he bought his own tickets for (but implied he scalped the other tickets for a hefty price)

where was ABC/NBC/CBS during the previous Congress, did they report on Repug corruption they now are trying to point fingers at??? :wtf:

ended up the newscast w/ *moron dancing, Charlie Goofin Gooden says, 'i hope everyone had as good a day as pResident *moron' ... :puke:

3. Isn't Darrell Issa a Republican?
But, in this case, I'll defend him.

Even if he didn't pay for the tickets, WHO cares? It's not like the boys in the band can curry any favors with him.

What's he gonna do? Make Pete Townshend the ambassador to Britian? Considering Pete's already British and lives there, I doubt it. Make Roger Daltrey the nation's "fitness guru," a la Arnold Schwartzenegger? Pssshawww.

8. at a party
Nancy Pelosi showing up w/ tight security, Baucus not answering how much they paid for attendance (the astute investigators for ABC found out it was $9200/per) but Baucus said he didn't know how much.

basically they were stating that the Dems had promised to 'clear up the corruption' but were just as involved.

again, where were any of the MSM during the last 6 years? I don't recall the nightly news on Repug/lobbyists connections, parties, etc.

12. They're called political fundraisers...
and they happen on a daily basis in Washington, for both Parties, regardless of who is in power. How is that corruption specific to the Dems being in power? The whole political process is corrupted. I remember the Repubs promising to clean up the corruption too once upon a time. I'm still holding my breath.

So ABC is just trying to deflect some of the heat... (standard operating procedure, ya know)
