“just for girls” Ouija board!
by Hannah Tennant-Moore

Does your daughter have a burning desire to play Ouija board? But clearly she can’t since the game is totally for boys? Well, for only $19.99, you can make your daughter’s dream come true, because Hasbro just came out with a new “just for girls” Ouija board!

What makes this edition different from the original Ouija board that can be handmade in minutes? I’ll give you one guess. You got it: It’s pink!

Not only that, but this new edition also comes with 72 question cards, since a big problem for young girls is that they always freeze up when it’s their turn to ask a ghost a personal question about their lives.

According to the product description, girls needn’t worry their pretty little heads any longer:

It has always been mysterious. It has always been mystifying. And now the OUIJA Board is just for you, girl. With 72 fun questions included, you'll never run out of things to ask. Who will call/text me next? Will I be a famous actor someday? Who wishes they could trade places with me?

1. It's satanic and sexist all at the same time.
I know what somebody's getting for next Christmas.

Now THAT is Satanic and sexist! What girl wouldn't sell her soul to look like that? :sarcasm::evilgrin:

2. I'm pretty sure that the only people I knew who actually had...
Ouija boards when I was a kid were girls. They need "special" boards marketed toward them now?

That is such a good point! I didn't know any boys that had a Ouija board!

on edit: I would not have wanted a pink Ouija board!

6. Sigh.
It's because of stupid things like this that I came to hate the color pink.

8. I noticed in the Spring Bass Pro Shops catalog that they are now
selling fishing reals that are a nice Pepto-Bismol pink. I guess they're after the women anglers with those. How odd.

All the women anglers I know wouldn't be caught dead with something like that.

21. Pink fishing rods, pink hammers, pink motorcycles....
the list of things they've ruined with the color pink is endless.

19. I know!
I hate it too! Everywhere you go, it's expected that girls like pink. To me, it's the ugliest color in a full spectrum. Except for hot pink, which kind of has a personality.

30. Mr Hot Pink...
I lived with a guy who wasn't afraid to wear hot pink (back in the 1990s) and bright lime green, as well.

It actually looked good on him

29. Oooh, I hear ya....
I despise pink.

Bubble gum pink...hot pink...baby pink...skybluepink (my mom's name for when the evening sky turns pink and purple)

Unfortunately, my two young granddaughters are still in that "girly pink" stage, and I literally cringe whenever I have to buy them toys or whatever.

32. Ok, you got me on a technicality.
However, none of my 'spooky' male friends own one as far as I know. Only the 'spooky' female ones - that I'm aware of. These would be for personal use/accessorizing not antique collecting.

18. **gag**
How appallingly patronizing! I was playing with the Ouija LONG ago, and I think the thought of a PINK board is just disgusting and chauvinistic.

Are Pugs into the esoteric? Or are they trying to cash in on the paranormal world?

Seriously, how creepy! I find the sellers of such a product to be even more scary than whatever they might find on the board.

23. Pink? Really? Lame-o. Flat black with blood red letters - that's cool. .
Make the little triangle thingy out of silver and I'd buy one just as a decoration.

Really, I've only known females to own them anyway, so this whole 'just for girls' nonsense is kinda stupid.
