I estimate that Obama has maybe 48 senators that actually will do what he needs them to do. And I may be pushing it with that high of a number. The Blue Dogs are really a disgrace. I'm so sick of this.

1. 45 maybe. At this point, most of the Senate is a total disgrace. It represents the wealthy minority
in the US and nothing more.

3. I made a list, that's pretty conservative. These are the sellouts that I can name off hand.
Bayh
Nelson(N)
Nelson(FL)
Lincoln
Landrieu
Lieberman(of course)
Baucus
Webb
warner
Hagan
Brown

I know I'm missing more names. You can't pass liberal policies w/ these people on your side. This is why I have my doubts about the OBama presidency. His own party will bring him down. He needs Republicans in order to get these people on board, which is sad.

4. He can count on some of those
Webb, Warner, Brown for sure, probaby Baucus and Bill Nelson. It's Conrad from ND that takes it to 7. But that's enough to get us to 51 I think.

7. I concur
The Blue Dogs (and everyone in a red state or district) are scared shitless after Massachusetts. We can forget about them this year, unless we keep Murtha's House seat. That might give some of them a bit of courage.
