Yes? No? Maybe? Why do you say that? Have the repubs cleaned our clock or not?

Have they cleaned our clock? Eaten our lunch? Waxed our wings?

Or not?

Why do you think what you say?

1. We've done a fine job cleaning our own clock.
without their help.

2. As of the last days or so,
or is it a couple of weeks since President O has started to play a little tougher - while he manages to hides the depth of his understanding of their stupid games, and scares them s$%tless because they can smell the danger -
it seems like we are about to clean their clocks right back.

I think this because I'm watching POTUS give them just enough rope, and keep it nice and loose, so the final knot has all the give needed for a nice and tight one.

3. No...
we continue to clean our own clock. However, I do remain optimistic that we will enter the summit on the 25th with guns blazing. It's a stretch, but one can wish.

4. "Clean our clock"? As my Dad used to say, "They couldn't carry our lunch", let alone eat it.
It may be comforting to blame McConnell or Boehner or even Limbaugh for our troubles, but we are the only ones who can stop us. Our failure to enact a progressive legislative agenda is due to our own shortcomings rather than the prowess of our morally bankrupt opponents.

5. Have the repubs? No.
Has the "owner class"? Most definitely.

The repubs are the latest tool/gatekeeper for the 2%ers. If the Democrats still had their pro-business platform, they would have used Democrats (see history of Democratic Party).

I do not know if the US is the most divided it's ever been in history, but it is the most divided in my lifetime (born 1957, y'all do the math).

During the 60s it was "us" against "them." Now it is "us" against "them" and "those" and "those folks over yonder" and "them over there." We've been sliced and diced more effectively than any late-nite product could ever claim.

Democrats versus repubs; liberals against conservatives; far-left versus far-right; conservatives versus neo-cons; liberals versus neo-libs; heteros against gays; Christian against xtian; Christian/xtian against Muslim; and on and on and on and on. We have become so divided amongst ourselves, the 2%ers don't even have to hide anymore. We can't see them for the dust we're stirring up down here.

The "almighty dollar" is winning. It's a landslide! The pharisees were but the kindergarten class to what the 2%ers would become.
