Holy Moley....Just left the Saints Victory Parade in Nola
Never, ever in my entire life, have I seen such an unbelievable outpouring of love
and affection.

Happiness, peacefulness, and unity of at least a half a million people in FQ and CBD in the freezing cold.

Sure you say it's just football, but it represents so much more....despite it all, this city is finally BACK !

people were thinking Katrina Schmatrina.

13. Not at all!
I know Patriot Nation was behind you guys (mostly because we hate the Colts).

But the Super Bowl win couldn't have happened to a better group of guys. Enjoy the high--it's the best feeling in the world.

60. There was a hillarious graphic on the ESPN web site
They asked readers who they thought would win the Super Bowl, and showed the results broken down state-by-state.

44 states said the Colts.

6 states said the Saints. Those states?

Louisiana and Mississippi, of course...

Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine!

20. Not at all!! Houston is thrilled for you, by and large.
I suppose there were a few disappointed Colts fans but for the most part, people were hoping New Orleans would win because y'all deserve some good news for a change.
:toast: :bounce:
It was the elevator topic last week.. "It sure would be nice if New Orleans won".

30. I couldn't have been more excited,
and I'm not even a football fan. I turned it on because I had some feelings for the Saints, re Katrina and their being underdogs, etc. but didn't plan to even pay much attention, then got totally sucked in and was screaming all alone in my living room. I'm so happy for them.

16. And no offense...but who'd want to go to a victory party in Indianapolis in January?
Other than the possibility of John Mellencamp showing up, where would the fun be?

And...is there even such a thing as "Indianapolis-style cuisine"?

(I'm sure it's a nice place...this IS a joke...ok?)

I am not big football fan.. And NY Gaints and Jets are teams I semi root for..

I was all for Saints..and it was exciting!
Someone gave me a rubber cockroach ( from NOLA) and told me to rub it for good luck for the Saints and I rubbed almost all the rubber off of it watching game from the team Hotel bar..( hubby went to game)

It was a fun weekend!!

Who Dat!!!

Congrats Saints fans..you deserve the win!!

( oh and the Colts fans we ran into were kinda rude..and Saints fans were so sweet and nice !!)

47. Congratulations from a Steeler's fan
We sure know the elation coming from a Super Bowl Win - especially that first one after years of frustration.

There's not a city, state, fans and team in this country that deserved it more than New Orleans, LA and the Saints and their fans.

Saw a bit of the parade and celebration on CNN tonight - you sure know how to throw a party!

I usually don't watch the Super Bowl unless the Steelers are in it, but among my worries when the power was out was I wasn't going to see this one. I got my power back in time and I was glued to this one as I was to last year's. I was so glad to see the Saints win! Hate the colts and now love another team in black and gold! Way to go Saints!

Lots of shitheads were posting at FB and other places things like this: "So after they riot and tear down the city of New Orleans will we have to pay (again) to re-build it."

:puke:

I haven't read about ANY chaos...has there been any more arrests than during Mardi Gras, for example?

I'd love to post and send articles to shove it in the faces of the right-wingers with their nonstop hate spewing. :(

And, yeah, I'm one of the thoughtless out-of-towners who bought some black and gold beads two weeks ago, therefore depriving the Saints organization of the opportunity to buy them for today's parade.
