6. Yea, I was checking a moment ago to see if his death had anything to do with that. It
wasn't related. Had a stroke awhile ago I didn't even know about. Had another just now that killed him.

I like him on the show. RIP Captain Phil.

4. Sorry to hear that - for some reason whenever I tune in that show
I end up sitting there and watching it.

One observation I made is that most of these captains lead a very unhealthy lifestyle with all the cigarettes, long hours, stress, etc.. Same with many of the crew though they of course are getting a helluva workout with the unloading of the pots.

I remember an episode where Captain Sig Hansen feared he was having a heart attack while at sea.

RIP Captain Harris.

7. Farewell, Skipper. Maximum condolences to his sons.
This sucks. I thought he was one of the more interesting people to come from "reality" television.

15. I agree, but I like pretty much all of them with the possible exception
of the Skipper of the Wizard. He is just mean. The others are hard core and take no shit but they aren't mean.

Here be a Sailor Man who raised his Sons to be the men he wished them to be, and though I don't know how they are off-shift, my take on them is that they're MEN he could be and WAS very proud of. It was his time, and I bet that if asked, he'd say that his life took exactly the trajectory he would have preferred it to to take.

Would that we could all be so lucky.

I watch that show and sometimes think to myself, "gosh, I wish MY dad looked at me that way".

14. Love that show...
it sure made me think twice before bitching about the price of crablegs (one of my favorite seafoods).
