Scott Brown is setting himself up for a run for prez
Exclusive: Scott Brown plans memoir

By MIKE ALLEN | 2/10/10 9:06 AM EST

The man with the truck will soon be the man with a book.

Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), the party's hottest elected official, has decided to write a book that combines memoir and inspiration.

Gail Gitcho, his new Senate communications director, tells POLITICO: “Senator Brown is honored and humbled to be approached by many people who want him to tell his inspirational personal story about his life leading up to his election as a United State Senator from Massachusetts. He will tell his story in a book in hopes of providing insight and encouragement to others and also to ensure that the record is complete and accurate.

"Part of the book proceeds will be donated to charity," Gitcho continued. "Senator Brown will work with a collaborator so he can continue to focus fully on his service to the people of Massachusetts, which is, and always will be, his first priority.”

Brown has hired Robert Barnett of Williams & Connolly, who is the city's leading counsel to politician-authors, to help him through the process.

and don't think he doesn't stand a chance at the nomination because he's purportedly pro-choice. It wouldn't shock me to see a Ken and Barbie ticket.

4. Almost every Governor and Senator below the age of 65
Is always contemplating running for President and taking steps towards that goal.

6. he does seem like Palin's twin
Edited on Wed Feb-10-10 10:49 AM by bigtree
I think he's just as limited by his own stupidity as Palin. These folks only serve to marginalize, and in some cases, divide the republican party and opposition by repelling 'moderates' who are inclined to support the president.

9. he does come up with some nonsense, tho
I don't think his game is that smart, or his rhetoric either. I must have missed the 'educated parts of his presentation.

10. He's not stupid. Politics is a beauty pageant these days
If you're handsome or good looking you have a huge advantage.

12. you mean he's politically smart
I'm not convinced that he's as smart as the campaign he ran. I also believe he can be out-twittered and out-facebooked by a more aggressive and focused challenger than Coakley was. That was the essence of his 'smarts'. He advantaged his off-season election with technology and organizing. We can do the same . . . better, imo.

16. "Honored and humbled", he over uses that phrase. It doesn't ring true.
And,he doesn't strike me as a humble guy.
Actually, his mentor-Mit Romney is likely to give it another go.And will need his PR team back, so Brown won't have them to use.

Instead of just letting this possibly happen, we should be working to expose how phony he really is and work to defeat him.

17. I don't think so. Republicans will be too worried about the Oval Office carpet to vote for him.
He might lay on it naked and get stains on it.

20. All he has to do is pin those nude pictures to his suits
and keep turning around and he sure will have all the republican women voting for him on the basis of 30 year old pictures. Hey maybe a lot of the dumb DEMOCRATS TOO.
