Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama said he doesn’t “begrudge” the $17 million bonus awarded to JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon or the $9 million issued to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. CEO Lloyd Blankfein, noting that some athletes take home more pay.

Fuck that. I don't begrudge anyone who is voluntarily paid in the marketplace, but these assholes would have been jobless if not for the taxpayer.

1. When you get to that level it's far more about the good old boys club than the marketplace..
These people all sit on each others boards and vote each other huge compensation packages..

Carly Fiorina, of the Demon Sheep commercial, all but destroyed HP and ended up with a platinum parachute.

2. yes...
my conversion from a republican to a democrat started with my experiences on Wall Street after college when I realized that the idea that shareholders run their companies through their elected representatives was almost pure BS, and that really there was a small group of people running the corporations of America. That these people showered themselves with wealth, showered a smaller group beneath them with wealth, and, what bummed me out the most colluded with government to make it harder for small businesses to compete with them.

It shattered my view of America. (Even though, I still consider America to by and large by a great place compared to most of the world).

3. That is when I went from a moderate to a liberal when I worked for a Fortune 500
Interesting how that works.

4. Still tone deaf
Has been since March. I think he's believing his own press releases.
