Partial collapse of storage building belonging to Smithsonian
A building holding artifacts belonging to the Air and Space Museum has partially collapsed due to heavy snow, according to MSNBC. No one injured, but it is unknown if any of the artifacts were damaged because the building is inaccessible due to snow accumulation.

6. I hope people are able to keep their roofs cleared off,
but I'm sure there are many who are not able to do so. Things are very dangerous there now. Just hope everyone stays safe.

I was there for the Presidents' Day storm in '79. We had 3 ft of snow on the ground with 5 ft drifts in Annandale and Fairfax. Took us hours to dig out, and that storm was nothing compared to this one.

5. Looks like it could have been worse.
Nothing seems to be threatened. Which is good to hear, a lot of that stuff stored there there is on the other side of priceless. The same thing happened to the B&O Museum a few years ago. In that case some cars were ruined.
