Obama Rebukes Boehner In Testy Exchange, Charges GOP Wants To Kill All His Initiatives
http://theplumline.whorunsgov.com/senate-republicans/obama-to-boehner-republicans-just-want-to-kill-all-my-initiatives/

Update: White House press sec Robert Gibbs just got in touch to confirm that there was an exchange and to clarify a key point. His comments are below.

At the private White House meeting today between Obama and Congressional leaders, the President and John Boehner got into a testy exchange, aides say, with Obama charging that the GOP is just out to kill all his initiatives.

According to aides familiar with the discussion, Boehner made the case that long-term concern over Dem policies — health care, cap and trade — was leading to uncertainty in the private sector, damaging job creation efforts. Boehner said the only way to get the economy moving again is to put these issues behind us.

7. He probably noticed a while back, but wanted to remain "above it all" by
raking the high road, which is his style. I guess with some people a person has to stoop to their level to get the message across.

3. Best way to provide certainty for the private sector......
Single payer. Get the small (and Large) businesses out of the health care industry and let them go to work knowing they and their workers are covered for everything. Most small business people I know would like to not have to deal with the issue yet know that when their workers are injured or ill, that they will be taken care of by someone other than themselves. All businesses want to know that their workers and their families will have the health care they need, that's why they provide it now.

Medicare for all, now is the time. 70 % of americans are for it.

Single payer health care Check list:

1. Pre-existing conditions?
2. Universal coverage?
3. Costs controllable?
4. Helps small businesses?
5. Helps large businesses?
6. Helps individuals and self-employed?
7. Controls runaway malpractice insurance premiums?
8. Addresses Medicare and Medicaid funding problems?
9. Reins in pharmaceutical costs?
10. Takes some of the uncertainty out of doing business and living life?
11. Will lift the USA to above Colombia in Health Care? Maybe.(http://www.photius.com/rankings/world_heal ...)

4. Remember how we nearly drove the entire thing off a cliff a couple of years ago?
We obviously need to get back to that.

6. Yeah, let's get back to that deregulated free-for-all
All those titans of industry in the private sector, blowing up their companies, knowing that the American taxpayer was patiently waiting to bail them out when the party got too raucous. And when the dust settled, it was time for those seven and eight figure bonuses again! What fun!

And John Boehner thinks that we need to get back to those days so the economy can get moving again.

You know, Mr. President, we the people handed you and your party overwhelming majorities in both houses of Congress, as well as the presidency. If you wanted to, you could just, you know, enact pretty much whatever legislation you wanted to and claim that it was the will of the people. Because it would be. We didn't put you guys in office to make nice with a bunch of sore losers. We put you there to (and you'll pardon my language, I hope)

FUCKING DO SOMETHING!
