What are the issues that you want to hear in these debates...
we here at DU and other sites bring up all types of issues all through the year and when the campaigns come along, we hear all of the issues that the media want us to talk about the issues they put forth.

1. How To Re-Create A Middle Class in America
Edited on Fri Apr-27-07 07:51 PM by MannyGoldstein
We used to be able to raise a family on a single typical income. Now it takes two incomes just to stay above water - barely.

How do we reverse the economic sodomy that has been visited upon the Middle Class from Reagan through the present.

3. Getting the money out of politics. All of it.
Given that as a "democracy" our candidates are not selected on ability, integrity, knowledge, but on the amount of money they can only raise by pandering to the corporations, it has so skewed the process that the only resemblance to "democracy" is that we still get to make a choice of which candidate is (somewhat) less corrupted.

Are any changes planned to ensure every U.S. citizen the chance and right to his/her vote ??!!!

7. Right
"Free trade" is killing us and Democrats in Congress need to kill the Doha Round. That and who will most quickly stop this miserable Iraq war will be the one who gets my vote. (And I'll read the fine print.)

5.  I would like to hear the candidates all explain
Why they feel it is acceptable for them to raise such expensive campaign funds and why they are out there so soon bombarding the people with their issues running all over the country .

9. The answer they will give you is...
that they need it to run all over the country to spread their message. What I would say to that is that, we have heard these damn same messages for years now we know what their talking points are and I get tired of hearing them say them, and saying them the same way. I want to hear about jobs, homelessness, and many other issues and not what the MSM picks out as the most important issues.
