That crude is produced continuously by a geological process under the surface where heat and pressure play huge roles.

However, it is largely irrelevent. First off, we are pumping it out of the ground faster than this theoretical process can make it.

Second, regardless and irrespective of how much of it there is, we cannot keep burning it at the rate we are. We cannot afford to keep pumping that much carbon dioxide into the air every year.

Finally, if this process is true, we still have to find the damn stuff before we can begin pumping it! If it's at the bottom of the Marianas Trench, that's not going to do a hell of a lot of good for us.
