2. Doesn't look very good to me
You have your own list. We welcome and incorporate yours, and ours demands a return to wholesomeness and an end to political correctness; the right of smokers to smoke in public places again; a return to comedic freedom, an America where comics can joke about uncomfortable, untidy things, and an audience can laugh without being made guilty by the stern gaze of an invisible, disapproving "they" invented and invoked by a hyperactive news media already 23 hours and 30 minutes over its daily welcome into our homes; in fact, we call for the return of the television news day to 30 minutes at 6:00 pm, and the triumphant return of the offline, published newspaper; guns and metal detectors out of public schools; sexy clothing back in X-rated shops and clubs and off our children's bodies; rap and hip-hop off our radios so black Americans can sing and write songs again; the RIAA pushed back to where it belongs; copyright laws changed forever to release the arts and imagination from seven decades of poverty, obstruction, and tyranny; and children off computers and back in yards and on playgrounds again, under a bright golden sun.

Sounds quite reactionary to me. I suppose you could call it 'bipartisan' - it would get support on conservative forums too, since it's against political correctness, seems to think there's something wrong with rap and hip-hop, and in general longs for a return to a time of a few decades ago.

we already have decided to be against the faux outrage that is political correctness."

Sorry, I was too drowned in the irony of that to read further.

Good luck. should be fun to watch...

7. Sorry for sharing.
I just thought more people here on DU would be interested in a return to TV and other media to the goodness it used to be. Stupid me! :dunce:

10. Looking around at your stuff...
Sunshine Again is a cool idea. Post Jim Henson/Elmo Sesame Street fills me with loathing, so it's cool to see something that hearkens back to when kid's shows had heart and soul (well, a current show like Chowder is the real deal, but you know what I mean).

11. Not MY stuff, but....
I DO love the concept of bringing TV back like it used to be (in the 70s and 80s). :hi:
