HCR Reconciliation Thread (One more "yes") We still do not have the votes
One more to the "yes" column, but this was expected. Let's look at the count. Robert Byrd agreed.

We need at least 50 to force a Biden tie breaker vote. Including 41 GOP "no" votes, the count is 49 - 48 - 3.

Let's look at the 37 who have stated to use Reconciliation (according to Countdown). Let's assume we have those:
Feinstein, Kerry, Sanders, Brown, Whitehouse, Bennet, Burris, Gillibrand, Merkeley, Franken, Leahy, Schumer, Reed, Boxer, Udall, Mikulski, Shaheen, Lautenberg, Durbin, Specter, Casey, Dorgan, Cardin, Bingamen, Menendez, Wyden, Stabenow, Johnson, Feingold, Inouye, Carper, Levin, Klobuchar, Murray, Kaufman, Udall, Byrd

The following are definite "yes" votes: (12 total yes votes)
Kohl - WI; Akaka - HI; Tester - MT; Harkin - IA; Webb - VA; Warner - VA; Dodd - CT; McCaskill - MO; Bayh - IN; Hagan - NC; Landrieu - LA
Reid - NV (if the votes are there)

Baucus has begun to weaken. He is in the maybe column now.

The following are definite "maybe" votes: (4) votes
Begich - AK (being a DEM in AK has advantages. He may be one term and we can use that for our advantage.)
Conrad - ND (Since I have not heard a peep from him, he's in the maybe section. Someone help me out.)
Cantwell - WA (Lukewarm. Keep up the heat.)
Baucus - MT (From cold to Lukewarm due to the growing support)

The following are the "no" votes, the Blue Dog, DINO-moles in the Senate: (6 votes)
Bill Nelson - FL (no completely. Too bought.)
Ben Nelson - NE (no completely. Too selfish.)
Pryor - AR (No chance for his vote. Too brain dead.)
Rockefeller - WV (WILL NOT SUPPORT RECONCILIATION. APPARENTLY THERE ARE NO POOR PEOPLE IN WV.)
Lincoln - AR (WILL NOT SUPPORT RECONCILIATION. APPARENTLY THERE ARE NO POOR PEOPLE IN AR.)
Lieberman - CT (WILL NOT SUPPORT RECONCILIATION. THIS MOLE NEEDS TO BE DROPPED FROM THE CAUCUS.)

We do not have it, but we are one vote away from a 50-50 with a Biden "yes" tie-breaker!!! Expect 41 no votes (44 with these DINO assholes).

Keep up the heat!!!

1. They'll feel the heat alright- and get voted out of office when their names come up
The "D" behind their names means less and less every single day.

2. What about Cantwell? She's number 50, if your other names are solid.

Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) became the 35th senator to declare support for passing a public option via reconciliation, her office confirms to TPMDC.

Cantwell told the Huffington Post that she'd vote for a public option under reconciliation, if the Senate parliamentarian OK's it.

"If the parliamentarian says you can and it can all work, yes," she said. "If it works, fine."

Progressive groups, led by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, have been pushing senators to publicly support passing a public option via reconciliation. The effort started with a letter written by Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) urging leadership to use the filibuster-proof procedure for the public option.

5. Please remember, I am in China so I am a little behind on my news.
I just started a new thread with this information.

Even though I am no longer in the country, I very proud we have 50 vote. Now! Let's get 51 with Mark Begich!!!

3. And they won't even pass the Bill without a PO! Gawd, this is a backward country
and party with little hope for meaningful reform. More of the same comfortably conservative collapse.

4. We shouldn't be giving up, we should be redoubling our efforts. Cantwell is the 50th vote,
but we have to make sure all the YES's stay YES's.

7. How exactly does this help the poor again?
It forces them to give up a large portion of their income to a privately held business or face a tax penalty. Somehow I don't view this as helping the poor but maybe I'm naive.
