Agggggh! Not all terrorists are tea-baggers or hippies
Some guy with a political grievance goes on a rampage.
First we argue about whether it is terrorism. (Based to some degree on how we perceive the politics of it being considered terrorism)
Then we try to assign the rampager to one side in a partisan terms.
The guy who shot up the Pentagon yesterday was a 9/11 nut of some sort and considered the pentagon to be part of some conspiracy.
Does that make him right-wing or left-wing?
Beats me.
Not all domestic terrorists are members of an organized ideology. In fact, some of these lone-wolf types are probably lone-wolves because there is no club they can join that fits their scatter-shot ideologies.
(People banned by both DU and Free Republic would make a lively club.)
2. Even MSNBC anchor wants to call this guy a terrorist and whip up fear
and loathing in neoconland. And get folks all foamed up into a ratings boosting lather. He was an unstable man with a political gripe who acted out alone. Again. Not aligned with an organization or acting on behalf of a movement, I don't think.
