Hannah Giles in legal dire straits.

Here’s a fundraising letter sent by the Liberty Legal Institute’s Hannah Giles Legal Defense Fund to offset legal costs incurred by Giles — the star of last year’s ACORN sting — as a result of a lawsuit filed against her by ACORN and some of its former employees. The mailing was produced by Base Connect, a firm that does work for Republican campaigns.

7. Hope she goes broke, but there will be idiots who donate to the 'cause'
Giles, O'Keefe, Breitbart and Fox all deserve one helluva legal smack-down for their involvement in this dodgy scheme. I'm still ticked at all the law makers who jumped on the bandwagon and jerked the funding from ACORN. ACORN deserved its day in court before our elected representatives condemned them and hung them out to dry. Grrr

12. It's filled with lies. They did NOT catch anyone
fascilitating child prostitution as several investigations have now confirmed. She also violated the laws of at least two states by taping people without their consent. Now that her buddy has been caught violating even more laws and ACORN has been completely vindicated, I hope that those two states will file charges against these Rovian operatives. They are the next generation of Karl Roves and they are destroying this country.

Maybe we should respond and let them know that when you break the law, there are consequences. You'd think, being that they are from the 'law and order' Party, they'd have known that.

14. Off to jail with you, dearie. You committed a fraud.
That's against the law, you see. Don't worry, though. You won't get a long sentence in prison, and you'll be well taken care of while you serve your sentence.

Bye, now.

16. Just read that again. It has to have been written
a while ago as it states that Congress is about to pull ACORN's funding. That happened a while ago.

Since then, ACORN sued Congress for that un-Constitutional decision and won in a federal court last month.

18. The letters are hilarious
My favorite:

"The fixed-width font, the fake stars and emphasis lines, the poorly-cropped headshot, along with the quasi-hysterical style in which it's written all make this blindingly obvious to what it really is: An attempted grift on senior citizens that wouldn't want to see this pretty girl go to jail. It looks like a Publisher's Clearinghouse form letter from 1984.

Anyone under the age of 50 that falls for something like this deserves to throw their money down a hole."--name

Closely followed by:

"I'm really disappointed that there are not hearts dotting the "i"s."--arick

19. I take that back--THIS is the funniest
bearclaw:

Uh, Hannah, you want to call it "revenge." Another term would be "justice."

You see, Hannah, it actually is a crime in some states to tape a conversation without all parties to the conversation consenting to having it recorded. California, for example. And you did visit an ACORN office in San Bernardino, didn't you? So have you considered the possiblity that you are a . . . criminal?

>snip>

And since you did this in cooperation with Mr. O'Keefe, after you recruited him (again, as you admit in your letter), maybe you'll get to learn the joys of having a charge of "criminal conspiracy" added for good measure.

Of course, if you write a nice letter to the judge on pink paper, with lots of stars in the margins, I'm sure you won't actually do any jail time.

One other thing, Hannah. I've only been practicing law for 20 years, but I'm reasonably sure there is no such crime as "child prostition."

being sued is an ugly process and I can think of only a few who are more deserving than her.
