DC MADAM'S LAWYER SAYS OTHER LAWYERS ARE "REQUESTING PRIVACY ACCOMMODATIONS" (WP/WJLA-TV)
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 01:23 AM by redacted
The attorney for the so-called D.C. madam says that he's been getting questions from other attorneys about whether their clients might be the next to be named by Deborah Jean Palfrey.

Her attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley, says five attorneys have contacted him to ask if their clients are part of a list of 10,000 to 15,000 phone numbers turned over to ABC news.

He says some have asked if accommodations could be made to keep those clients' names private.

Palfrey is accused of running a prostutition ring in the Washington area, but she contends it was a legal adult fantasy service.

Her next hearing is at 10 a.m. Monday at U.S. District Court.

1. I don't know if they're bribing her, but I suspect they are!
I'll tell ya what! I hope she doesn't take the $$ to keep quite! I don't have very much$$, but I would sure send her some money to give 'em all up!

Maybe all of us should call her lawyer and tell him that! You know how the old story goes. Money talks!

4. She's under federal investigation.
I doubt if money can compensate for a jail sentence. Maybe they are offering to call of the US attorneys. And Gonzales thinks he's on the hot seat now . . . . Just wait.

7. Smart lady. She's shopping for a deal.
The only accommodation she is seeking is relief from prosecution. I suspect she will see a plea deal involving no jail time but including the forfeiture of the list. With the important people on that list, I suspect the prosecutor and judge are getting a few phone calls as well.

I think I'm gonna start a poll here in a bit.

9. I don't know what people are so worried about.
After all, as I recall from a few years ago, it's not the sex - it's lying about it that's the crime.
