CNN: Sanchez v. Dobbs

Rick Sanchez (Mr Taser) just lit into Lou (white power) Dobbs regarding Lou's daily rants against immigration. The story that started the matter dealt with the Salvation Army wanting to fire two employees for speaking to each other in spanish after they had been given a year to learn english. Sanchez commented that he often feels unwelcomed and unwanted after listening to Dobbs daily racial tyrades and equated Lou's racism to the way that former immigrants (Germans, Irish....) had been treated by our society going back for generations. Sanchez said that he parents did not speak english because they were too busy working three jobs to give their son a better life.

Why is Dobbs able to hide his racism behind the veil of "economics" and "national security" with the need for a border between US and Mexico?

Since Lou wants everyone to go back from whence they came, maybe he should start. I dont believe that Dobbs is Navajo or Muscogee. :). People like Dobbs and Pat Buchanan piss me off. They think that all immigration control should be for everyone that is a more recent arrival than they are. I hate these "mayflower americans".

He's a huge racist and because he is attacking "illegals" most people do not object. I believe that no person is "illegal" they only commit illegal acts.

Why is it tolerated when Lou has a daily anti-immigration show? It's not entertaining or informative. He simply chery picks the news out of the ether that has an aspect of immigration debate. I could host a daily show and only report news that was about people who are less than six feet tall. I could taylor the show to bash "shorties" and only talk about the negative aspects of those that were less than six feet tall, but after a while it would become boring (As has Lou)

Enough Lou, we get it, you dont like brown people.

My parents spoke heavily-accented English. I speak English, period. It takes time to assimilate. I think alot of people claim to be Mayflower Americans, but their ancestors stopped at Ellis Island like everybody else.

Skippy covers the weather, Miles O'Brien covers nasa and airplane crashes, and Lou is the racist on the staff.

In the end, Dobbs bullied his way through the timeslot.

We do not have an illegal immigration problem, we have an illegal employer problem. If we actually punished companies that hired undocumented workers (and threw some CEOs in jail) then the job market for illegal immigrants would dry up real fast...and with it the flow of undocumented immigrants across our southern border.
