Tony Snow seems ready to face his future, but what would it be
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 04:21 PM by SoCalDem
if he sold tvs at Circuit City? and his wife was a waitress at Denny's 3 nights a week?

How would he be facing his future?

Rich people with cancer often do not win their battle with the disease either, but they sure as hell have a better chance at getting treatments they need.

Everyone who interviews him applauds his courage and wishes him well, but there are millions of people "out here" who have fewer options. and I wish THAT were the story..not how one rich, connected man faces cancer.

1. Here's What Would Happen
"But what would it be if he sold tvs at Circuit City? and his wife was a waitress at Denny's 3 nights a week?"

Easy.

He would die.

Slowly and very painfully.

And no one at Circuit City of at Denny's would care.

4. Not a fair response
more correctly the fellow employees would care very much. They would put on spaghetti diners and help in many ways. It's the corporate big wigs who wouldn't care.

3. Nail hit squarely on head!
So many similar stories never heard because we're, what, the "little people", the "backbone" of this country, the poor, the forgotten, the uninsured?

5. How many cancer survivors "out here" can switch jobs without worrying
if they'll be able to get insurance ever again? Not many.

9. He had colon cancer a few years ago, and it recurred in his liver
last month, apparently.

He claims that he will be treated with chemo..no more surgery (aftre the one he had last month), and that he plans to live with it for a long time..because of the excellent treatment available now.
