"Teach the controversy" in US history
I guess they're too stupid to understand blatant hypocrisy in Texas.

--------------------------------------------

Teach the Controversy!

The Texas Board of Education has voted to present certain views and not others regarding the history of the United States of America. This is not right. They should be forced to "teach the controversy" regarding American history! They should be forced to present our economy as both "free enterprise" AND "capitalism" and that our country was established by men, some of whom were Christians, AND established without a national religion on purpose. But most of all, they should be forced to put the following stickers on their social studies books:

This textbook contains material on American history. American history is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of our country. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered.

4. The controversy in U.S. history that needs to be taught is:
how nutcases in Texas hijacked social science standards for their own ideological purposes and thus further destroyed public school education in the U.S.
