March Madness begins the racist sports related comments season..
While watching the NCAA games on Sunday I overheard the same comment I heard last year. Someone wonders aloud "Why do all these black people play basketball?" and the person responded "It keeps them to busy to rob us."

I'm pretty dismayed by how comfortable white people are making racist comments to other white people. Racists seem to think all white people share that sentiment.

Now after this weekend and the racial slurs leveled against John Lewis and others it seems like people think it is a part of the political debate to make racial comments.

Even people shopping at a store in New Jersey(not even the Bible belt) are forced to listen to racist comments due to a 16 year old with no sense of shame in expressing such views.

I think people are becoming too brazen and without fear in their expression of racism. This is just the beginning of the outrageousness.

Does having a black man as President make these people feel a greater need to spout racism?

1. Those types are always racist
The black president just makes them angrier. I had a former friend ask me if I had voted for "monkey man". What insulted me most is that this jerk actually thought I was of that same mindset.

2. "It keeps them to busy to rob us." That doesn't even make sense!
How can they rob you if they're busy playing basketball?

Bigotry is a given, but you could please use a little more common sense in your intolerance?

And then there are the people who are commenting on UNI's magnificent victory ove Kansas saying stuff like, "I'm surprised those white boys can beat a team with so many blacks". And ridiculous crap like that. I tell them the reason UNI beat Kansas is because UNI played better. It's as simple as that. But some people are just flat out racists and can't believe that some caucasian players can win a big game. And if Kansas had won the game, as sure as I'm sitting here, these same people would have said, "Well Kansas has more black players than UNI so they had to win." or something like that. I actually told one guy to just enjoy the game and shut up. He shut up but I don't know whether he enjoyed the game.
