Maybe now that the Dems have passed something all by themselves,
no matter how flawed it is, and survived the experience, they will have the guts to just go ahead, forget the bipartisan bullshit, and start giving the American people a little more of what they voted for--like jobs & unemployment legislation, an improved general retirement fund like the SEIU is calling for, some effective environmental legislation, and some 21st-century infrastructure building.


Oh, all right, I know, I know, but I'm entitled to my fantasies once in a while, aren't I?

1. That's a good idea.
Pass the stuff, energize the base, and then win the independents because you're getting stuff done. What's not to like?
