A message to Democratic leaders: the nice guy crap is getting old

It is time to plan some recess appointments.

It is time to plan some cloture votes on judicial nominees, the liberal ones first.

It is time to stop "accommodated requests from Judiciary Committee Republicans" and other actions that amounted to "further accommodation to them" Senator Leahy (press release today).

It is time to stop working for bipartisanship when they have no intention to reciprocate.

It is time to call them out when US commanders are flown in from across the world to attend scheduled hearings at the US Senate and come for nothing because Republicans are throwing a hissy fit about a fairly unrelated subject, health care reform.

It is more than time to stop making me :puke: every time I have to listen to you guys pussyfooting around with these thugs.

2. It's time for Reid to call the bluff of every grandstanding GOP

calling for a filibuster by telling him to get his fat ass down to the Senate floor and start talking.

My guess is that a lot fewer of them would be willing to threaten.

As it is, over 200 bills, along with judicial appointments, are being held up just because Democrats are in charge. This is a clear abuse of that rule and either it's going to have to be enforced to the letter, or it's going to have to be suspended until Republicans stop throwing temper tantrums.
